Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 May 2026
These terms cover how parents, players, and coaches use CoDi Tennis. Coaches have additional obligations covered in our Coach Terms.
About CoDi Tennis
coaching.direct (operating as CoDi Tennis) is owned and operated by PRYM HK Tiles Pty Ltd (ABN 66 674 590 839), a company registered in Australia. References in this document to “CoDi Tennis”, “CoDi”, “we”, “us”, or “our” mean PRYM HK Tiles Pty Ltd.
The 30-second version
- CoDi Tennis isn’t the coach — we’re the booking and payment platform. The coach is the person actually running the lesson; we just make it easy to find them, book them, and pay them.
- Be honest about who you are when you sign up, and keep your contact details current. Don’t share your login.
- Treat people well — coaches, parents, kids, and staff. No harassment, no off-platform payments to coaches you met here, no uploading anything unsafe for kids.
- Refunds + cancellations follow our Refund Policy — short version: cancel early = full refund, cancel late = the coach keeps the fee, coach cancels = you always get a full refund.
- Australian Consumer Law applies — your statutory rights (services delivered with reasonable care; refund if there’s a major problem) can’t be signed away.
The full version below is the binding agreement. The plain-English summary above is the spirit; if there’s ever a conflict, the numbered sections win.
1. Who CoDi Tennis is, and what we do
CoDi Tennis ("CoDi Tennis") operates a tennis coaching platform that connects parents and players with independent coaches. We provide:
- A searchable directory of verified coaches
- A booking and calendar system
- Payment processing on behalf of coaches (we are their agent)
- A skill-pathway and progress tracker
- Notes, reminders, and communication tooling
CoDi Tennis does not provide the coaching itself. The coaches are independent professionals who supply their own services. CoDi Tennis is the booking and payment platform; the coaching contract is between you and the coach.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18+ to create a Parent / Student or Coach account.
- Younger players (typically 14+) can have their own login if their parent enables it. Until then, the parent controls the account.
- You must provide accurate information at signup and keep it current.
- Junior profile access: a junior profile’s original creator (the “owner”) is the only person who can grant access to others, and the only person who can mint share-invite QR codes. Anyone added via a QR code joins as a partner or coach and cannot share the profile onward. The owner can revoke any partner’s or coach’s access at any time from /profile. This is to keep child data inside a controlled circle.
- Share invites are single-use and expire in 24 hours. Treat them like passwords — don’t share an invite link to a public channel or with anyone you don’t intend to grant access to.
- Keep your password confidential. You’re responsible for actions taken with your account.
- We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms or present a safety risk.
3. Booking lessons
When you book a session through CoDi Tennis, you enter a coaching agreement directly with the coach. CoDi Tennis collects payment on the coach’s behalf and transfers the coach’s share to them after deducting our agreed commission.
Each session has a price set by the coach (or by the class, for group sessions). Prices include GST where the coach is GST-registered. The receipt clearly states whether GST applies to your portion.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Coaches set their own cancellation policies — typically 24-hour or 48-hour notice for full refund. Outside the notice window, you receive a catchup credit usable on a future session with the same coach. The cancellation flow shows you the exact outcome before you confirm.
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details, including coach-cancellation outcomes and what happens if a coach cancels a whole term.
5. Conduct on the platform
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for anything illegal or harmful
- Harass, abuse, or threaten coaches, parents, students, or staff
- Pretend to be someone else or share your account
- Try to scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the platform
- Upload content that is hateful, sexual, or unsafe for children
- Upload content that infringes someone else’s copyright. If you believe content on CoDi Tennis infringes your copyright, see our DMCA + copyright takedown policy for how to send a takedown notice.
- Bypass CoDi Tennis to pay a coach off-platform for sessions arranged through CoDi Tennis
The full list lives in our Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Communications
We send transactional emails — booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations, refunds, badge awards. You can fine-tune which categories you receive in /profile notification preferences. Some emails (security alerts, account changes) cannot be switched off.
7. Coach verification
We verify coaches’ Working with Children Check (WWCC) and coaching credentials at signup. Coach badges ("Founding Coach", "Verified", etc.) reflect verification at a specific point in time. Coaches are responsible for keeping their WWCC and certifications current.
If a coach’s WWCC expires or their cert lapses, their profile is flagged in admin and they may be suspended from new bookings.
8. Payments
CoDi Tennis uses Stripe to process card payments. Stripe is the merchant of record for the card transaction; CoDi routes the funds to the coach via Stripe Connect. CoDi Tennis does not store your card number. See our Privacy Policy for what we store and what Stripe handles.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You have certain consumer guarantees that cannot be contracted out of. If you think a coaching service was not as described, was not delivered with reasonable care and skill, or there was a major problem — contact us at support@coaching.direct and we’ll work to resolve it.
10. Disclaimer and liability
Tennis coaching involves physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury. By booking sessions, you acknowledge that risk and confirm that the participant is medically able to participate. Coaches are independent and carry their own public liability insurance.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, CoDi Tennis’s liability for anything that goes wrong is limited to the fees you paid for the booking in question. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
11. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time via /profile or by emailing support. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. After closure, we retain the records we are legally required to keep (tax records for 7 years; safety logs as detailed in the Privacy Policy).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For changes that materially affect your rights or obligations, we’ll email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
