Safety at CoDi
Tennis coaching for children, built so a parent can relax. Here's exactly how we keep your child safe — and how you can check it yourself.
Where a clearance can be checked, a coach can't take bookings until our team has sighted and checked it. It's checked by a person, not self-declared by ticking a box. If a coach's check is withdrawn or cancelled by the authorities, they are blocked from new bookings immediately and their upcoming sessions are cancelled and refunded, or handed to their centre to be taught by a different coach. If a check simply expires while a renewal is being processed, new bookings are blocked straight away and children already booked may continue with that coach for up to 16 days while the renewal clears — after which any remaining sessions are cancelled and refunded. In Australia we confirm the Working With Children Check against the state or territory register directly. Where a coach's country runs no equivalent register, their profile says so plainly instead of showing a verified badge, so you always know which of the two you're looking at.
Each verified coach has a public certificate you can check yourself — no account needed. Scan their code or open their verify link to confirm their status is current, straight from the source.
If something doesn't feel right, you can report it. Reports reach our team through a dedicated child-safety channel with a defined response process — concerns about conduct are escalated, not buried.
Children's personal details are never shown publicly. Messages between parents and coaches are relayed through CoDi (contact numbers stay masked until you choose to share them), chat is moderated for inappropriate content, and you can flag a chat message or contact our Child Safety Officer to block unwanted contact — reports are acted on within 24 hours.
Every payment runs through Stripe, a global payments provider. CoDi never stores your card details, and if a session is cancelled the refund follows the published policy automatically.
Check it yourself
Every verified coach carries a public credential link. Ask your coach for theirs, or scan the code on their profile, to confirm their verification is current — no account required.
Common questions
Yes. Where a clearance can be checked, a coach cannot take a single booking until our team has sighted and confirmed it against the state or territory register — it is checked by a person, never self-declared by ticking a box. Where a coach's country runs no equivalent register, their profile says so plainly instead of showing a verified badge, so you always know which of the two you are looking at.
Every verified coach has a public certificate page you can open without an account. Ask your coach for their verify link or scan the code on their profile, and you will see their current certification and clearance status straight from our records.
Their verification is withdrawn automatically. If a coach edits their certificate ID, level or expiry, the public verification page immediately stops showing a record for them and reports no result until an administrator has sighted the new details and confirmed them again. A change to a credential withdraws the claim that credential made.

No. Children's personal details are never shown publicly. A child's name and photo are visible only to their own guardians and their own coach — never to other families, never on public pages, and never in email.
